How to Make Blended, Drinkable Soups

For making creamy blended soups, you will need an immersion blender. I got mine for about $20 from Amazon, and so far it’s been a great investment!

I’ve also used it for blending roasted veggies for homemade pasta sauces and I’ve even used it to whip up mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving.

I’ve linked the exact immersion blender that I bought from Amazon below. As I mentioned above, I got it on sale for under $20 and it works like a dream. It’s easy to store and doesn’t take up a lot of space in my kitchen cabinets.

If you aren’t able to buy an immersion blender, you can still use a regular stand blender but you have to be careful and follow specific instructions. This article explains how to safely blend soup in a stand blender.

I made the mistake of trying to blend a batch of hot soup into my Nutribullet last year, and it was a giant mess. It was near impossible to open the lid and when I did pry it loose, the liquid exploded everywhere. Kinda dangerous, but thankfully nobody got hurt!
