March is here, which means spring is right around the corner! And I mean literally right around the corner since the first day of spring officially falls in March!
So yes, start defrosting your spring decor and wardrobes.
March always feels like a soft reset — the days start getting longer, life starts to feel a little lighter, and everything seems fresh and new. Anyone else feel the same way?!
There’s also some fun holidays to look forward to – St. Patrick’s Day, Pi Day, and International Women’s Day all fall in March! While they may not be huge holidays, it’s still fun to celebrate them and romanticize an otherwise ordinary day ☺️
I love celebrating the seasons & holidays, and making a monthly bucket list helps me live each month with intention and do all the simple, cozy, seasonal activities to relax and enjoy life even after the 9-5 grind.
If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place! You can use this bucket list to plan a fun activity to do after a long day at work, on Friday night, or the weekend. There’s no pressure – do as much or as little as you like! ☺️
I even have a FREE printable bucket list that you can print out or use on your phone! To make things a little more fun, I also made a printable bingo card that you can turn into a game or use as an activity advent calendar!

🍀 Seasonal & Holiday Fun
1. Celebrate the first day of spring
The first official day of spring usually falls in March – in 2026, it’s on March 20th. There’s so many ways to celebrate – buying flowers, gardening, spring cleaning, decorating, or even just cooking up a spring meal. Whatever gets you in the spring mode and excited about the new season ahead!
2. Wear green for St. Patrick’s Day
Green is one of my least worn colors, but it’s a must on St. Patty’s Day! Even something small (like green socks, pajamas, or accessories) counts!
3. Have a spring cleaning & reset day
Set aside a day to clean your home and reset your routines for spring. You can plan out a deep clean or just do something small like re-organizing your pantry, tidying up your bedroom, or cleaning out your closet or drawers.
4. Light a spring scented candle
Swap out the warm, woodsy winter scents for something light and fresh. I love florals like jasmine, lavender, or lilac but linen, citrus, or rain-inspired scents are great options too!
5. Refresh your spring wardrobe
Pack away your bulky sweaters & boots, and bring out your lighter & brighter spring pieces! This is also a great time to clean up your closet, donate clothes, or create a spring capsule wardrobe.
6. Decorate your home for spring
I love fall & winter decor, but there’s something so refreshing about putting up my spring decor! Try adding flowers & floral themes, opting for light pastel colors, changing your throw pillows, bedding, linens, or putting up some fun accents for Easter.
7. Support a woman-owned business
March 8th is International Women’s Day, making it the perfect opportunity to support women-owned businesses. Here’s a great directory of women owned businesses if you need some inspiration! You can also take a moment to thank the special women in your life or donate to a women’s organization like the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
8. Buy a bouquet of fresh spring flowers
Treat yourself to fresh bouquet of spring flowers from a florist, grocery store, or the farmers market. I personally love daffodils, tulips, and peonies this time of year! Display them somewhere you’ll see every day like the entryway, coffee table, kitchen, or dining room to give the space a burst of color and some happy vibes!
🥬 Cooking & Festive Bites
9. Cook a meal with spring herbs or produce
March is a great time to start adding fresh herbs and seasonal produce into your cooking! I love using a seasonal produce guide to plan my meals around seasonal fruits & veggies. Visiting a local farmer’s market is another great source of inspiration!
10. Plan a St. Patrick’s Day dinner
Try making some classics like corned beef & cabbage, a pot of Irish stew, or even a shepherd’s pie! All of the recipes linked are easy and made with just a few ingredients.
11. Bake a pie for Pi Day!
Celebrate Pi Day (March 14) by baking your favorite pie! It doesn’t have to be fancy or time consuming – store-bought crusts and simple fillings can help you whip up a delicious pie.
12. Make Irish soda bread
Okay I’ll admit that I’ve never made Irish soda bread, but it’s on my bucket list for St. Patrick’s Day this year! It’s a super simple bread that’s perfect for beginners and pairs well with butter, jam, or soup. Here’s a simple 5-ingredient Irish soda bread recipe!
13. Bake a St. Patrick’s Day dessert
Bake up some yummy green desserts for St. Patrick’s Day! Bonus points if you share it with friends, family, or coworkers. It’s a fun weekend activity you can do solo, with family, or kids!
🪴 DIY & Creative Hobbies
14. Paint a plant pot
It’s a super simple, budget-friendly DIY project to get your home or garden ready for the spring. Browse Pinterest for plant pot designs or keep it minimal with a monochrome design. You can find plain pots on Amazon, Dollar Tree, or Home Depot.
15. Create a spring playlist
Put together a spring playlist filled with upbeat songs that remind you of the season. You can play it while cooking dinner, cleaning your home, on your way to work, or when you’re enjoying a slow cozy morning at home.
16. Start seeds indoors
March is the perfect time to start your seeds! Even if you don’t have a green thumb, try starting some low-maintenance herbs like basil or mint.
17. Go thrifting
Thrifting is a fun and budget-friendly way to get some cool new decor or wardrobe pieces for spring. It’s also fun to search for hidden treasures at the local thrift store, Goodwill, or a garage sale!
18. Give yourself a spring manicure & pedicure
Warmer weather means flip-flops and open toed shoes! Plus, our nails need some TLC after being in boots, gloves, and harsh winter weather! Treat yourself to a mani-pedi with pastel or bright colors at a nail salon or give yourself a DIY treatment at home. I’ve recently been obsessed with nail stick-ons from Dashing Diva!
19. Pot some plants
Get starter plants from a local nursery, Home Depot, or Trader Joe’s and plant them inside colorful pots. There’s so many types of plants you can choose from – herbs, flowers, and even fruit & veggie plants for garden-to-table meals!
🌷 Outdoor Activities & Adventures
20. Sit outside to drink your coffee or tea
As the weather starts to warm up, take your coffee or tea outside on a sunny morning or evening. Even just a few minutes in the fresh air can give you a burst of energy!
21. Go on a mini spring break
Spring break doesn’t have to mean a big trip – even a day trip or weekend getaway counts! Try being a tourist in your city or plan a solo adventure to help you enjoy the early days of spring.
22. Take a nature walk to spot early signs of spring
Take a walk around your neighborhood, local park, or even your backyard to spot signs of early spring like budding trees, early flowers, and birds. Even though spring may not be in full bloom yet, it’s inspiring to see the first signs of spring after a long dark winter!
23. Visit a local nursery or garden center
Even if you’re not buying anything, it’s fun to see all the plants and flowers or get inspiration for your own home garden!
24. Eat lunch outside on a sunny day
Take advantage of a sunny afternoon by eating lunch outside. Even taking 5 minutes out of your lunch break at work to go outside for fresh air can make a huge difference!
25. Visit a local park
Go for a walk, sit with a book, pack a little picnic, or just spend some quiet time with nature!
