How to Roast Pumpkin Seeds

Before you get started, you’re going to need some basic tools. Don’t worry, there’s no fancy equipment needed here!

🥣 Stock up on your fall baking supplies! These baking essentials are all budget-friendly and under $25!

1. Pumpkin Carving Kit

If you’re scooping seeds straight from a pumpkin, a pumpkin carving kit with a sturdy scoop makes separating and cleaning the seeds so much easier. But if you don’t have a pumpkin carving kit, you can also just use a spoon to help you get the seeds out of the pumpkin.

2. Large Baking Sheet

The most important thing you’re going to need is a large baking sheet to roast the pumpkin seeds on. I recommend lining the baking sheet with parchment paper to avoid any seeds getting stuck to the pan. It also makes clean up a lot easier!

3. Storage Containers

Once your seeds are roasted, I recommend storing them in an airtight snack container. This will help them stay crunchy for days and easier to pack for travel. You could use a reusable silicone pouch or zip-loc bags but these can smoosh easily and I think they don’t keep the seeds as fresh as airtight containers do.
