If you’re looking for a super yummy lunch, dinner, or snack idea that’s ready in a pinch, boy oh boy have I got a treat for you today! These 10-Minute Air Fryer Veggie Tortilla Pizzas are about to become your new go-to recipe!
I’ve been craving homemade pizza so badly this past week, but my most recent attempt at making pizza using store-bought dough was a bit of a disaster – another story for another day!
Thankfully, I had a whole jar of pizza sauce and some leftover tortillas from taco night last week, so I decided to try making a tortilla pizza in my air fryer. Sometimes, laziness pays off because this recipe was a winner!
I have no idea how I’ve slept on this for so long! It is so incredibly easy to make and it’s ready in under 10 minutes. Not even exaggerating here! Plus, you just need 5 ingredients to make these pizzas. Even if you don’t have an air fryer, you can still make these in your oven and they’ll taste just as good.
These pizzas are sure to be a hit with toddlers, preschoolers, and the pickiest of eaters. Even teens and adults will love these! You can make it for lunch, a speedy weeknight dinner, or as a fun after-school snack. Plus, it’s a great way to add vegetables to your kid’s plate!
The best part is that this recipe is adaptable and you can top it with whatever you have in the fridge – peppers, broccoli, pepperoni, sausage crumbles, cheese, pineapple, etc! I love me a good “use up your leftovers” recipe and this one definitely fits the bill.

Equipment & Ingredients You’ll Need

- Tortillas – I used fajita-sized flour tortillas but you could use whole-wheat tortillas or a smaller sized tortilla as well to make this air fryer veggie tortilla pizza. If you do use another type or size of tortilla, just watch closely while it’s cooking in the air fryer, since cooking times will likely vary.
- Pizza sauce – you can use homemade or store-bought. If you use store-bought sauce, try to find one with less sodium and no added sugars. I found mine at Aldi!
- Shredded cheese – any type of cheese will taste great, but mozzarella is traditional. Cheddar cheese on pizza is delicious as well (at least I think so!) and even feta cheese would work, but may require a different cooking time. You can use bagged shredded cheese or shred a fresh wedge of cheese – both will work!
- Toppings – feel free to use whatever you have in the fridge! I only had a bell pepper, but you could use chopped red onions, broccoli, zucchini, and mushrooms. Even meat toppings would work for this recipe. If you’re cooking this for younger toddlers, you may have to soften the veggies up a bit first by sautéing/steaming before you add them to the pizza for air frying.
- Olive oil spray – if you don’t have a spray bottle, you could just brush on some olive oil or spread it on with a rubber spatula or knife. I only used olive oil on the top of the tortilla, but feel free to use it on both sides to make it more crispy.
- Air Fryer – if you don’t have an air fryer, no worries! You could just bake these in your oven instead. I would recommend baking at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for about 3-5 minutes, but again just watch it carefully to make sure it doesn’t overcook. I got a Ninja air fryer last year and it’s been incredible, so I highly recommend that one if you’re in the market for an air fryer!
- Parchment Liners for air fryer (optional) – this is totally optional, but something I highly, highly recommend if you use your air fryer as often as I do. I just started using these liners a few months ago and oh my god, they have been life changing. It’s so easy to get the food in/out of the air fryer, the basket is so much easier to clean up without stuck food bits, and it still crisps up the food perfectly without any compromise!
- Vegetable chopper (optional) – another optional item, but totally a lifesaver in the kitchen! I hate chopping veggies, but this Fullstar vegetable chopper I ordered up from Amazon a year ago has made it SO easy to chop up veggies for meal prep and busy weeknight dinners. Even my old-school mom was impressed by this little gadget!

Step-By-Step Instructions for Making the Air Fryer Veggie Tortilla Pizza
1. Prep the tortillas
Don’t worry – we’re not making tortillas from scratch here! First, lightly spray the tortilla with olive oil spray or brush a little bit of olive oil if you don’t have a spray bottle. I just sprayed the top of the tortilla (the side where the sauce, cheese, and toppings will be on), but you can spray both sides if you wish to make it a little more crispy.
2. Spread on the pizza sauce

Cover the top of the tortilla with the pizza sauce. Leave about 1/2 inch from the edge uncovered so you can grab the pizza easily.
3. Sprinkle the cheese

My favorite part of the pizza – the cheese! I used about 1/2 cup for 2 pizzas, but you can use more or less as desired. You can even have your little one help with sprinkling the cheese!
4. Add your toppings

Add your toppings of choice to the pizza. You could “tuck” them in the cheese a little bit so that they don’t fall off easily. If you’re making this recipe for younger toddlers, see the notes section for suggestions on making sure the veggies are soft enough for them to eat.
5. Pop it in the air fryer

Time to cook your creation! As mentioned above, I like to use parchment liners for my air fryer basket, but you could just put the pizza in the basket directly. Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 3-4 minutes. Watch carefully since these pizzas cook fast! See the notes section for more.
6. Enjoy the pizza!

Let the pizzas cool for 3 minutes then slice into 4 wedges. You can add basil or other garnishes if desired. Enjoy your air fryer veggie tortilla pizza!
Notes & Suggestions
- I cannot stress enough how important it is to make sure that you are watching the pizzas carefully because they cook fast! I found that 4 minutes is perfect for the way I like my pizza, but you may find that 3 minutes is enough for you, or 5 minutes may be better if you want it more crispy. The photos below demonstrate the difference between 3 minutes vs 4 minutes of cooking these bad boys.
- For younger toddlers, I suggest cooking the pizzas for only 3 minutes to keep them soft enough to chew. Also, make sure the vegetables are soft before serving. You can soften the veggies even more by sautéing or steaming them before adding to the pizzas
- I recommend eating these tortilla pizzas at the time of preparation, but you can store the cut wedges in an air-tight container for up to 3 days. Reheat for 1 minute in the air fryer, or toaster oven. Microwaving will just make ’em soggy, so I don’t suggest this method of reheating!
