Why You’ll Love This Recipe
🥬 These spinach turkey pinwheels are:
- Ready in 10 minutes
- Made with just 5 ingredients
- Budget-friendly
- Very versatile & customizable
- Great for meal prep
Ingredients & Substitutions

- Tortillas – I used 10-inch flour tortillas, but you could also use whole wheat, spinach, or tomato tortillas. Just make sure you’re using burrito-sized tortillas to make rolling easy.
- Chive & onion cream cheese spread – I used flavored cream cheese, but you can use low-fat or plain cream cheese instead. This is going to act as the “glue” for the pinwheel so the fillings stay in place! You could swap out the cream cheese for mayo or hummus.
- Sliced turkey breast – Use low-sodium options if possible. I got the Trader Joe’s brand which has 370mg of sodium per 4 thin slices.
- Sliced cheese – I used white cheddar cheese, but you can use whichever cheese you prefer or have in the fridge. I think these roll-ups would taste great with provolone, pepperjack, or even gouda cheese!
- Baby spinach leaves – I use the bagged mix that included spinach, kale, and chard. But really any green leafy veggie works well.
📌 OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS: Try adding other veggies like shredded carrots, died bell peppers, or thinly sliced cucumber. I would only use 1-2 veggies to avoid overfilling the rollups.
Equipment You’ll Need
One of the great things about this recipe is that you don’t need any fancy equipment to make these roll ups! Just a few basic tools that you probably already have on hand.
- Cutting board or a flat surface to arrange the roll ups
- Knife to spread the cream cheese and cut the pinwheels
That’s seriously it. I told you this recipe was super easy!

Storage Instructions
- Fridge: Store leftover roll ups in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. They’re best if eaten within 24 hours for peak freshness.
- Freezer: I don’t recommend freezing these rollups. The tortillas and cream cheese do not thaw well and may become soggy.
- Lunchbox: Pack with an ice pack to keep cool.

Spinach Turkey Cream Cheese Rollups
Ingredients
- 1 10-inch tortilla
- 2 tbsp cream cheese spread
- 3-4 slices turkey breast
- 2 slices cheddar or provolone cheese another type of cheese is fine too!
- 1/2 cup spinach leaves
Instructions
- Spread on cream cheese. Lay the tortilla flat and spread cream cheese evenly over the entire surface.

- Add the fillings. Arrange 3-4 slices of turkey on top of the cream cheese layer.

- Add 2 slices of cheese on top of the turkey.

- Add a handful of spinach leaves in a single layer on top of the cheese slices.

- Roll up the tortilla. Starting at the bottom edge, roll the tortilla tightly. Tuck in the fillings as you go.

- Cut the wrap in half using a sharp knife. Then slice into individual, bite-sized pinwheels about 1-inch thick each. If you have a hard time with this step, you can also refrigerate the wrap for 15-20 minutes first to make cutting easier.

- Serve and enjoy!

Notes
- I recommend using tortillas that are fresh or stored at room temperature. I made the mistake of refrigerating my open bag of tortillas and they dried out, became brittle, and did not roll up well
- You can wrap the roll-up in plastic wrap, and refrigerate it for 20 minutes before slicing into pieces. This will make them easier to cut
- These roll-ups are great for meal prep! Make them the night before and store it inside an air-tight lunchbox or bento box for the next day or to bring to a party
