Why You’ll Love This Recipe
Ever since I discovered these chicken caesar salad wraps, I’ve been obsessed with making wraps using salad kits. They are so unbelievably easy to make and don’t require any cooking skills whatsoever!
🌯 These southwest turkey wraps are:
- Made with just 3 ingredients
- Ready in just 10 minutes
- High protein
- No-cook
- Meal prep friendly
- Very customizable
I’m usually rushing out the door in the mornings, so I barely have time to pack my lunchbox. Recently I’ve been making these wraps for meal prep on Sunday afternoons, which has been a total lifesaver!
The wraps take about 10 minutes to make and they stay fresh for up to 2-3 days in the fridge. I just grab the wraps, throw them in my lunch bag, and I’m out the door in no time!
These wraps can also be cut into pinwheels – like these spinach turkey cream cheese rollups – which are perfect for school lunchboxes!

I also love that they’re high in protein, crunchy, and packed with so much flavor. You can customize these wraps however you want with extra veggies, protein, toppings – whatever you want!
Using salad kits is the trick here. The salad kits contain everything you need – the greens, veggies, toppings, and dressing – so you can make quick & easy Southwest turkey wraps using just 3 ingredients!
There’s also no cooking involved here. Just assemble, roll, and you’re done!

Ingredients You’ll Need

- Flour tortillas – I used 10 inch burrito-sized flour tortillas. The larger size makes it easier to roll up your wrap without tearing. You can also use whole wheat or spinach tortillas for extra flavor and fiber.
- Sliced turkey breast – I used oven-roasted turkey slices for this recipe since it has a mild flavor that pairs well with the Southwest salad. I recommend using low-sodium deli meat if possible!
- Southwest salad kit – I used the Trader Joe’s Southwestern Chopped Salad Kit, but you can also find similar salad kits at your local grocery store, Walmart, Aldi, etc. Most salad kits include the greens, toppings, and dressing all in one convenient package which saves you time and money!
This salad kit from TJ’s includes green cabbage, carrots, radish, romaine lettuce, green onions, cilantro, pepitas, tortilla strips, cotija cheese, and a spicy avocado dressing.
📌 OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS: Feel free to throw in extra veggies and toppings! Chopped bell pepper, corn kernels, sliced avocado, and extra tortilla strips would all taste amazing in these wraps.
SUBSTITUTION IDEAS
📌 Flour tortillas: Whole wheat, low-carb, and spinach tortillas are all great substitutes for traditional flour tortillas
📌 Sliced turkey breast: Swap for sliced chicken breast, sliced ham, chopped or shredded chicken
📌 Southwest salad kit: Any Southwest-style or chipotle salad kit will work if you don’t have Trader Joe’s nearby. You can also experiment with other salad kits if you can’t find a specific Southwest-style salad kit.
📌 Want a vegetarian version? You can use chickpeas instead of turkey slices. You can also use plant-based meats if you prefer!

As I mentioned above, this really is a no-cook, no fancy kitchen equipment needed kind of recipe! All you need is a mixing bowl + spoon to prep the Southwest salad kit. You’ll also need a flat surface to assemble the wraps, like a cutting board or a clean kitchen countertop.
Here are some of my favorite mixing bowls from Amazon:
How to Make the Southwest Turkey Wraps
1. Prep the filling

Open up the Southwest salad kit and remove the packets of dressing and toppings.
In a large mixing bowl, add the salad greens, dressing, and all of the toppings included in the kit. Mix until everything is combined and evenly coated in the dressing.
2. Assemble the wraps

Lay the tortilla on a flat surface. Layer 4 slices of turkey breast on top of the tortilla as shown in the top left image above.
Spoon the Southwest salad mixture on top of the turkey slices as shown above. Don’t overfill or the wrap may tear when rolling.
Spread the salad mixture evenly across the tortilla, but make sure to leave at least 1 inch of space around the edges.
Fold the left and right sides of the tortilla towards the middle (like shown in the 3rd picture above). Next, start rolling up the tortilla from the bottom edge to the top. A video is worth a thousand words, so check out the video below that shows you how to fold up and roll a wrap!

3. Serve and enjoy!

I recommend slicing the wrap in half before serving. Enjoy!
Notes & Suggestions
- I used 4 turkey slices per wrap, but you can use more or less depending on your preference.
- Making a nice, tight, neat wrap can take a little bit of practice! Try warming up the tortillas for 10-15 seconds in the microwave before assembling which can make it a little easier to roll and fold. Make sure to check out the video on how to fold a wrap above!
- If you have any leftover veggies in the fridge, feel free to add it to these wraps!
- I recommend eating these wraps right away for maximum freshness. But you can definitely meal prep and store these wraps like mentioned below.

- Meal Prep: Make 3-4 wraps on meal prep day. Wrap individually in foil or plastic wrap, or place in an air tight container. Store it in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- Fridge: Assembled wraps last up to 3 days in the fridge when tightly wrapped in foil/plastic wrap or stored in an airtight container. I’d recommend eating within 24 hours if you can, but 3 days is the max I would store these since the salad greens and crunchy toppings may start wilting afterwards.
- Packing in a lunchbox: Pack in an insulated lunch bag with an ice pack. Keep the wrap chilled until lunchtime to prevent bacterial contamination.
- Freezing is not recommended for assembled wraps since the salad greens will become soggy after thawing.
